Quantum physics and Homeopathy, though not readily linked in common discourse, actually inform one another in a rather significant way. Understanding the guiding principles of Quantum Physics will shed light on the mechanics behind Homeopathy and will explain the science of holistic healing. This article will introduce the link between Quantum Physics and Homeopathy by exploring each concept as it relates to the holistic human being.

Unlike Newtonian Physics, Quantum Physics works at the subatomic level. Whereas Newtonian Physics deals with atoms and molecules, Quantum Physics deals with discrete, indivisible units of energy called quanta. Newtonian Physics states that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. This principle, though true in the realm of machines, proves inaccurate when used in human biology, because it does not address that

Quantum physics follows a different set of principles, most fundamentally the theory of potentiality, which states that every situation has multiple potential outcomes. According to Dr. Heisenburg, the father of Quantum Physics, “at the moment of observation, both the observer and the observed are changed”. Dr. Dean Radin, researcher and senior scientist at the Institute of Noetic Science in California, furthers this argument by stating that, “human intention has a direct effect on quantum waves”. To prove this claim, Radin conducted the following experiment.

Radin set up a computer with a random image generator. The generator contained images of various natures (erotic, scary, exciting, etc.) that produced different bodily responses within viewers. Through this experiment, Radin discovered that the viewers’ bodily response to each image (sweating, breathing, heart rate, etc.) occurred 1/10 of a second before the image was shown. He then concluded that, “humans send out a quantum wave to meet their futures”. Quantum waves are thus slowed down, filtered and processed through each individual’s perception to prevent information overload. This is why perception is key; it controls the way quantum waves are filtered and processed and ultimately dictates the kind and capacity of the energy that affects the body at a cellular level.

Even diseases like cancer, which many believe to be the result of hereditary dispositions, are triggered by the energy of perception. The concept of “dormant genes” is a myth. Every person has a complete copy of the human genome within their DNA and therefore has the potential to develop any disease. Whether or not someone actually develops a disease is not dependent on their heredity or genetics, but on the kind of energy they transmit to their cells. A person controls his/her perception, which forms the energy that passes through the body and communicates with the organs at a cellular level. Each cell has a series of receptors that are tuned and altered with this energy and as a result are unique to each body. If, for example, someone believes that they have cancer or will develop it imminently, then they transmit the energy of cancer to their cells. The cells then alter their receptors to receive cancer, and finding no cancer within the body, will use the genetic code within the DNA to create cancer cells with which to bond.

Perception is the interface between the environment and human biology. It facilitates awareness of the environment through physical sensation. Signals from the environment are filtered through and processed by perception prior to their transmission to cells. Once cells receive the signals, they adjust their behaviour accordingly.

Homeopathy sees symptom as an inappropriate response to a given situation. Symptoms are caused by a false perception of reality, and cause the body to react incongruously. For example, a patient will complain about feeling hot in a cold room or having a burning pain that is only ameliorated by heat. The root of such symptoms is not physical, but a matter of false perception that result in the wrong signals being sent to the body. Symptoms are helpful because they alert patients and physicians to disturbances within the vital force. The depth and intensity of the symptoms correlate directly with the level of disharmony within the vital force. To restore the vital force to equilibrium and consequently cure disease, a homeopath must first read the energy field inside an individual and then prescribe a remedy with a corresponding energy field to cure imbalances. It is thus important for the homeopath to learn as much as possible about a patient’s dreams, behaviours, interests and reactions to strong emotions in a homeopathic session; only by understanding and analyzing these factors can a homeopath pinpoint areas where false perception is prevalent.

Everything in existence is a result of frequency and vibration, even thoughts and perceptions, be they positive or negative. False perceptions disturb the vibration and frequency of the vital force and cause alterations in human biology, which lead to symptoms and disease. To readjust false perception and restore harmony within the vital force, a medicinal system is needed that works on the energy realm as opposed to the physical realm. Homeopathy is effective here because it regards each patient as a unique individual and cures him/her by understanding and treating the underlying root of their disease as it relates to his/her holistic vital force.

Quantum Physics and Homeopathy

vital energy within humans that makes them greater than the sum of their parts. Despite this shortcoming, however, Newtonian Physics is widely used in conventional medicine today. Below is an explanation of the three laws of Newtonian Physics as they relate to human biology.

  1. Materialism:  states that physical matter is the only fundamental reality. When applied to medical biology, this principle turns the human body into a collection of separate organs that work together as a machine. Though this conception of the human body is still widely used in conventional medicine, there is much evidence to its contrary. Recent research in the field of biology has proven that “cell receptors respond not only to molecules but to energy as well. [In fact], electromagnetic fields affect every level of cell biology, [including] … DNA [and] … RNA synthesis”. Moreover, energy is used in conventional medicine for deciphering diagnoses on Cat Scans, CT Scans, MRIs and X-Rays, yet its effects on the human body remain ignored.

  2. Reductionism: states that to understand how a complex thing works, one must take it apart, study the individual pieces and reassemble them to see how they work together. This principle works when it comes to machines; a broken part can be swapped for a new one and the machine is as good as new. When applied to the human body, however, the principle fails because each organ within the body is interrelated to other organs and the body as a whole. The cells and tissues of the human body operate beyond the physical level, in the realm of perception. Therefore, physically removing diseased tissue without altering the underlying perception that caused said disease would ultimately fail as a cure.

  3. Determinism: states that replacing a failed part/organ with a new one will yield a predictable outcome. This principle does not account for the individuality of humans and believes that the same procedure will produce the same result in different patients, with different perceptions and cellular energies. Not accounting for such differences often causes organs to be rejected by host bodies on the operating table and consequently endangers lives.

Stem cell biologist, PhD. The 2009 Goi Peace Award winner Dr. Bruce Lipton provides even further research in this field. Dr. Lipton, who has devoted his life to bridging the gap between science and spirit, discovered that vibrations and belief affect human biology. According to his research, human biology is controlled by perception and not genetics, as many have been led to believe. Genes are, in fact, activated or deactivated by an individual’s perception of his/her environment.

An inaccurate perception of reality is often the root of physical ailments. In anorexia, for example, the victim’s belief in his/her own obesity changes his/her biology and causes rapid weight loss. At a strictly biological level the body functions normally and follows the signals it receives from the brain. A simple change in perception would alter the signals sent to the body and ultimately change the biological behaviour that produces the disease.

Homeopathy, a branch of alternate medicine, can work on a holistic level because it focuses on readjusting false perceptions and healing negative energy signals. German physician and chemist, Samuel Hahnemann, introduced homeopathy into the world of medical science approximately 200 years ago. Homeopathy is entirely natural and uses the essence of minerals, plants and animals for treatment. Hahnemann soon discovered the more diluted a remedy was, the more strongly it affected patients. This observation led Hahnemann to believe that disease is not material, but dynamic, and must be cured dynamically. He went further to outline a dynamic energy within humans, called a “Vital Force”, which is controlled by perception, and in turn controls all the functions of the mind and body.

Homeopathic practice still follows Hahnemann’s creed today; it regards disease not as localized, but as holistic, and treats it accordingly. As a result, homeopathy is always interested in the whole individual and their underlying perceptions, because it is through understanding these perceptions and returning the vital force to equilibrium that disease can be dynamically cured.
